At Threehouse in Chicago.

The team at Gas&Nectar teamed up with Arizona Beverage Company on February 19, 2022 to bring West town Chicago our culinary event: “Arizona Eats”. Chef and owner Lance Maharry was chosen by Arizona to be the first chef partnered with their 99 Projects campaign. Together a menu was created using Arizona products in the food itself, showcasing the incredible flavors of the Arizona product accompanied and amplified by our dishes. Patrons were gifted custom event tee shirts as well as collectable cups and plenty of free Arizona. We are proud and honored to be working with such a great company, stay tuned for more Arizona X Gas&Nectar content.

On April 9th in Chicago, we catered a number of small bites and such to the Made Gallery, a members only art gallery and head-shop in the West Loop. Some of these small bites included a braise beef crostini, Caprese salad, and a cartelized banana pudding with puffed rice, cacao nibs, Carmel, and sea salt.

At Lucky Lotus in Des Moines, Iowa

Head chef and owner Lance Maharry went back to his home town of Des Moines, Iowa for a special pop up at family friends space Lucky Lotus. Owned by the Chen family, direct refugees of the Vietnam War. Lucky Lotus located on Ingersoll Ave a main artery near downtown, originally called Cafe Fusion on the east side of Des Moines. Eventually the establishment was passed down from the owners Dala and Seng, to the sons Kevin, Donny, Phillip and Souriyno Chen. They moved locations and rebranded to THE place to go for hip fast casual Vietnamese and Thai cuisine in the city. Gas&Nectar took over and offered a Char Siu Pork and Braised 5-Spice Bar, a Cucumber salad and a Pistachio and Vietnamese coffee ice cream dish.
